I started doing Crossfit September 22nd 2009 and I loved it - it's totally awesome and it made me a better person in so many different ways!

After nearly 4 years of Crossfit and wrist injury I tried a home fitness DVD for a change and something new - Rip 60 was really great and then I found Beachbody / Tony Horton's P90X!
It's THE best home fitness program ever!!!
It changed my body in so many amazing ways and got my cardio fitness, my core and overall strength including push up strength better than ever before!!

I now do many Beachbody programs as they are all so great.
I 'm a big Tony Horton fan because he makes me work hard but makes me laugh at the same time.
After I completed P90X, I did P90X3, P90X2 and some P90X+. I''ve tried other Beachbody programs including the P90, Piyo, Focus T25,
21 Day Fix Extreme, Country Heat, BodyBeast and Insanity, The Aslyum 1 and 2. Completed 21 Day Fix and 22 Min hard Core.

Did some Insanity Max 30 and Core de Force but my knees can't handle jumping every day so I have to mix them in.
Shift shop is great and looking forward to the new 80 Day obsession.

I'm the fittest I've ever been in my life and still getting stronger every day!

P90X Chest, Shoulders and Triceps + Ab Ripper

My chest wasn't fully recovered from sat ready for this, so my change of programming wasn't right at all last week but still got a great workout and pushed hard - shaky arms at the end ;)

Upped some of my weights where I could and increased my reps where I couldn't lol

Also Shoulder felt good so although careful with depth got some great tricep dips in - wahoo!!

Wow this was a crazy combo and one not to be repeated the day after Lower complex and X3 AB ripper!!

Upper was great - I did push press instead of lunge thrust press as I did so much leg work yesterday it seems a good idea but accelerator was tough - my plank muscles were toast after AB Ripper yesterday and the stabilisers from Upper, I had to skip a few of the last few moves because I was soo toast!!

Good fun though ;)

P90X3 Complex Lower + X3 Ab Ripper

Phew this one is pretty good little workout, with lots of reps the weights get heavy quick!

The bounding split squats (mary katherines) were I think my best yet ;) and the Deadlift, squat, lunge, lunge combo is a beauty!!!!

Chased it with Ab ripper and wowser that's a real 'hate it but love it ' routine if ever you did one ouchy!!!!!

P90X Chest, Shoulders and Triceps

Wowser I forgot what a great chest workout this one was!! Not much Shoulders but lots of triceps ouchy!!!

Anyone got a good alternative for Legs and Back?? Legs back week after week can get a bit same ish...I was wondering about X3 Eccentric Lower or maybe Complex lower which will give me legs but no back so maybe followed by Eccentric Upper or Complex Upper??? Any thoughts peeps??

P90X Phase 2 Back and Bi's + Ab Ripper

After a few days rest and I'm fully recovered and ready and rearing to go... P90X Phase 2 Back and Bi's + Ab Ripper

Got use my new dumbbells tonight with Back and Bi's - loved it - failed on some weights as I was pushing hard ;)

Even loved the strip set of curls at the end!! Bring it!!

Got some more progress in Ab ripper too so that felt good - got more reps in most of them yeah!!

LM Combat 45 + Inner Warrior Strength and Stretch

Yesterday I spent over an hour strimming 4 ft high nettles and fighting brambles so I gave Recovery and mobility a miss yesterday and just chilling.

LM Combat 45 + Inner Warrior Strength and Stretch

Slow start to this one and longish warm up to get going but still good fun and pretty reasonable for a recovery week for me.
But I was aware of my lower back again a couple of times with the twisting and turning so not happy with that ;( was going to do Back to core tomorrow and now not so sure??

Nice to stretch out afterwards though.


Oh and my new set of dumbells came to day, well minus the the missing 1kg and 2kg ;( i just got empty damaged boxes for those but the rest look cool don't you think?

It was nearly as brutal as last time lol.

But I loved it, maybe not ideal with post leg day doms but I chased it with Relief for a great stretch and got a nice burn!

As usual the plank work is tough for me but I felt I improved here and there and small bits of progress is still progress right?

Phew it was tough tonight, upped the weights for calf raise squats and step back lunges tonight and did I feel the difference!! Subbed in a proper deadlift (15 @ 17kg/37lb and 8 @ 30.5kg/67lb) again for deadlift squats.

I've almost got my strength back for unassisted chin ups - I managed two with just a little toe assist off the wall so I'm hopeful I can do them properly unassisted within a few weeks ;)

But the second half I really had to push through not sure why it felt so hard, my heart rate was higher than normal for most of it too?? I had a bit of rice with lunch today (trying to up my carbs a litre fo energy) and may be it wasn't such a good idea?? What do you all use for pre workout carbs with a meal? Sweet potato??

I avoided the stuff that upset my shoulder like last week but felt an odd pain in my shoulder on the deep swimmers press - hopefully thats my shoulder sorting itself out at last!

Pushed on this tonight and failed completely on lying tricep extension (could get the weight of the floor after failing the rep and not smashing my face lol) and the last bicep exercise the Congdon curls I failed on rep 6 @ 20lb only made about 1/4 of the way up! Remember with weight training - Failure is success!!!!

P90X+ Interval X and LM Pump Yoga Flow

Great 40 workout Tony and 2 kids - 3 levels of intensity for lots of different  moves = interesting, fun and tough at times too!! Love it!!

Chased it with 20 mins Yoga flow, nice to stretch and relax after all the jumping about!

Had a hard day today including a total melt down so it was a great workout to feel better with ;)

Upped a few reps and lbs here and there today ;) I'm aware of shoulder again so not sure why/which/how the push ups are upsetting it but hopefully the change of pace next week should help.

Went much better today, good progress, more reps and more assisted pull ups and chin ups ;) I managed all the Sneaky Lunges and 80/20 speed squats today too :)

Also swopped the deadlift squats which I find really easy for deadlifts - 15 @ 30 lbs/13.6kg (2 x 15lb) and 8 @ 60lb/27.2kg ( 2 x 30lb)

Long day today but got it done this evening after resting yesterday.
Upped weights and reps where I could. I subbed the chair dips and upright rows again to protect my shoulder and skipped the side tri rises completely. If no issues with shoulder next week I will do them next time.

Had to take a quick phone call but still a Great workout ;)

P90X Chest and Back + Ab Ripper

Day 3 of very ouchy post leg day DOMS ;(

P90X Chest and Back + Ab Ripper done though.

Was wary of my shoulder especially at the end after diamond push ups and dive bomber push ups but I think its ok. I think I might skip the diamond ones from now and sun in a standard set as my shoulder clearly does;t like them and neither does my wrist I hurt a while back.

Took my Fitbit back today an got full refund and been trying some new apps for iPhone. Finding Argus a very good app for tracking steps, water intake, sleep - anybody use it?? It tracks heart rate with a bluetooth monitor but the graph is not as informative as Polar but still pretty good.
