I haven't done this workout in just over 2 years! It was great to do a bit of punching and kicking for a change ;) I wanted to do CdF but didn't want the cardio spikes for me knees, I wanted to do MMX but didn't want the plank work for my shoulders so Combat was the chosen one.
No plank work and no jumping for my achey parts meant I didnt get my heart rate crazy high and burn a ton but I got moving and rested what I needed to so I think that's a win.
I'm going to do Strength 45 tomorrow and I'm soooo looking forward to it.

LM Combat 45 + Inner Warrior Strength and Stretch
Yesterday I spent over an hour strimming 4 ft high nettles and fighting brambles so I gave Recovery and mobility a miss yesterday and just chilling.
LM Combat 45 + Inner Warrior Strength and Stretch
Slow start to this one and longish warm up to get going but still good fun and pretty reasonable for a recovery week for me.
But I was aware of my lower back again a couple of times with the twisting and turning so not happy with that ;( was going to do Back to core tomorrow and now not so sure??
Nice to stretch out afterwards though.

Oh and my new set of dumbells came to day, well minus the the missing 1kg and 2kg ;( i just got empty damaged boxes for those but the rest look cool don't you think?

This was good fun, didn't go crazy as it recovery week but still enjoyed it. Immediately chased it with Inner warrior stretch which is good stuff, some of the kata moves are still odd to me for some reason but enjoyed it!

LM Combat 45 and Inner Warrior Stretch
Really enjoyed this tonight, having done a few T25's now - the cardio element of this combat was pretty darn easy
Made it a pretty active rest day if you know what I mean lol

P90X2 Week 8, Day 2 (more recovery) Combat 45 and LM Pump Flow
P90X2 Week 8, Day 2 (more recovery)
Combat 45 and LM Pump Flow
Great stress reliever (no jumping even though knee felt fine) great burn and then peace calm and stretch with flow!
Flow still catches me unawares as the sun solutions are quite different to what I've got very used to with Tony but at only 20 mins its a little bit of yoga with some nice stretches in there and it finishes off combat wonderfully
Lovely way to burn 550 calls!!

LM Combat 45
Yesterday went out for a walk - turned out to be 2.5 miles round a local reservoir carry 2 camera bags
- I was pretty shattered when I got back!
Needless to say I didn't get my workout done last night!
Combat 45
Loved this and needed it tonight. I feel like I'm punching and kicking with a big smile on my face doing these workouts
Jumping knee strikes are getting better too

Day 3 Combat 45 Power Kata
After an unplanned rest day yesterday due to visitors, I got back to it today thank goodness.
Day 3 Combat 45 Power Kata
Was looking forward to this as it's bit of a longer workout and it was good fun. Some tricky combos in there where I missed a few reps here and there but overall really enjoyed it.
I even did some of the jumping knee thingies - surprised myself too
But if I'm honest I wanted more, I actually wanted to work harder - if that isn't a stupid thing to say
But I guess it's only week 1 and so they can't ramp it up to much. The trainers look like they were struggling and I'm like come bring it on!!!
I'm a little undecided about recovery drinks after these workouts, I'm thinking of half my normal drink that I was taking for X3 but I don't want to not give my muscles what they need oh decisions decisions!
Protein and carbs as normal afterwards or just carbs - any thoughts guys? am I just talking wet???

LM Combat 45
Managed to get LM Combat 45 in today
And smashed it!!
This was the one that frustrated me last time as I got it wrong but tonight it was awesome, loved every second
Great combos that build on each other, even had the music pumped up and it really added to it. I must start moving the coffee table to do these combat ones as the side kicks come very close too many times and I go out at funny angles trying to avoid the glass
The knee strike jumps are tough but looking forward to getting better at those
Such a crazy fun way to burn 460 calls!
Clocked max HR @ 172 tonight - not been up there since Aug and P90X Plyo hit me hard lol

Combat 45
Combat 45
Well today was hard but only in trying to keep up with the new moves and routines, they move really fast and I found it tough. Ok most of the way through but one section I really stuffed up.
I'm so used to Tony and most dvds to be fair when they say right hand they move their right hand and I've got my head used to that i.e. I can look at the screen and copy them to know what I'm doing but in Combat they say right hand and actually lift their left hand to make it so that you can mirror them - Does that make sense?
So I start this dodgy section wrong foot forward so it was not going well, also then used the correct leg hoping to swop when we did the other side but I just couldn't cope with it and got really frustrated
so it lost a lot of its momentum for me and my right leg did more than my left!!
I thought about redoing the section by with my frustration I gave it best.
I know it will be better next time but grrrr it's got me tonight!!
I also know that these dvd's have to suit beginner to advance so they can't go too slow but the instruction is lacking a little sometimes I think - I guess when you get used to the Pro that is Tony everyone else just doesn't quite cut it lol
Sorry but I'm still a little frustrated
- does it show lol
