Piyo Define Lower body & P90 Sculpt A
So while watching the P90 Sweat A Dvd the other day before we did it at the end there was a trailer for Piyo and I said to my mum I've been debating on this for a while and I'm not sure..." I like the look of that!" and that was that I ordered it
So we watched the fundamentals earlier and she liked it. I liked it too and was wondering about the pace of the actual workouts so my mum wasn't quite ready to do Sculpt yet so I decided at 20 mins I'd have a bash at Define Lower body.
It's really good, Chalene is a much better trainer than I first thought. I was 8 mins from the end and my mum was ready so I duly stopped and we did Sculpt A.
It went pretty well although she's stopped when her back started hurting her again. We finished up and she went to stretch and I finished up the 8 mins of Piyo. It was pretty good, no cool down at the end but I like the pace and moves work well. I think I'm going to really enjoy Piyo
Me and mum were sat talking tonight as she's put a slight strain in per lower back and funnily enough I also am aware of my lower back, just as I was after Sculpt on Monday She's decided it's not for her, she doesn't like the band and the weights and wants to try Piyo.
She's pleased with her progress as she feels slimmer already but doesn't want to get injured.
I too am surprised at the lower back awareness considering all the Tony stuff I've done and I have to say it has to be the bands. He puts us in the sawyer stance for the band tricep kick backs and I think that's what is doing it. I've never done much with bands and I've never been a fan but I know for sure that I'm not now!!
I'll review the rest for P90 DVDs over the weekend and if I'm not impressed I think I will send it back (never sent one back before - is it easy??). If some are good, like the cardio ones, and ab rippers I may keep it to use when I want a tony day but shorter than usual but we will see.
I have to be honest and say for beginners and the 'On switch to fitness' some of the positions are hard for unfit, inflexible people to get into and they ask alot of you straight away. So I'm pretty disappointed and wouldn't recommended it for newbies
We also decided the room we are working in just isn't big enough for the both of us so no more working out together. She will workout in there on her own, which will be good for her but just not with me at the same time. Which is actually better for me as trying to schedule around the days she wanted to do was getting crazy for me!!
So I'm back to my own schedule again (thank goodness) but now I need to decide what I'm doing lol I've been skipping more and more yoga days so I'm thinking def. need to add in Piyo on those days at least and see what happens
