I started doing Crossfit September 22nd 2009 and I loved it - it's totally awesome and it made me a better person in so many different ways!

After nearly 4 years of Crossfit and wrist injury I tried a home fitness DVD for a change and something new - Rip 60 was really great and then I found Beachbody / Tony Horton's P90X!
It's THE best home fitness program ever!!!
It changed my body in so many amazing ways and got my cardio fitness, my core and overall strength including push up strength better than ever before!!

I now do many Beachbody programs as they are all so great.
I 'm a big Tony Horton fan because he makes me work hard but makes me laugh at the same time.
After I completed P90X, I did P90X3, P90X2 and some P90X+. I''ve tried other Beachbody programs including the P90, Piyo, Focus T25,
21 Day Fix Extreme, Country Heat, BodyBeast and Insanity, The Aslyum 1 and 2. Completed 21 Day Fix and 22 Min hard Core.

Did some Insanity Max 30 and Core de Force but my knees can't handle jumping every day so I have to mix them in.
Shift shop is great and looking forward to the new 80 Day obsession.

I'm the fittest I've ever been in my life and still getting stronger every day!

P90X Legs and Back

P90X Legs and Back

Phew I forgot what a brutal workout this one is!!!

I was toast towards the end and couldn't manage all the 80/20 squats :(

I know I'm gonna feel this for a few days :(

I used my Fitbit again tonight but the readout is pretty poor, 75% of the times I checked my heart rate is wasn't reading it - I guess it was a little moist on my wrist and the moisture affected it. Really annoying and therefor the calorie burn is way down I would expect 5-600 on this workout for me!
Anybody else struggling with there Fitbit during workouts? Daily stuff it seems fine but workout not so much, which is disappointing.

Had a long hard day and needed this - first time I've tried it but at 46 mins it was just perfect. All the best bits of P90X yoga with some nice stretches. I missed the corpse pose at the end so did that after Tony had finished lol but felt really refreshed and energised - what more could you want!

Bought a Fitbit Charge HR today to try and track more of daily activity. So trying it out to see what it tells me - here's the graph from yoga..

P90X Shoulders and Arms + Ab Ripper

Finally I got my workout in today and it felt great. I was wary of my shoulder and I skipped the dips and the upright rows completely. I subbed in lateral raises and tricep extensions.

Nothing really made it moan except the side tri rises so after 8 reps I stopped and skipped the 2nd round of it completely.

Ab ripper was tough very much like I remember my first ever attempt was actually lol But my hip flexors were not happy at all. I did as much as I could and as Tony says - I did my best and forgot the rest!!!

It was like putting on a pair of comfy slippers going back to Plyometrics - I haven't done this one since Oct 14 but boy it was so much fun ;) I even smashed the mary katherines best I've ever done them!

I had to be careful of my shoulder (went physio this morning and he strapped it up) but I loved it and got the best burn I've had in a while!

P90X Chest and Back

Still with hamstring, tricep and abs doms I decided Speed and Agility would not be good and I'm missing the weights already so it time to go back to my roots with my old pal Tony H.

Loved it, I didn't push crazy hard and my push up and pull up numbers were down from last Dec but thanks to CH Ex my 30lb Lawnmowers (Row) for 8 reps was still on par ;)

I upset my shoulder doing the diamond push ups but hopefully should heal up real quick, only little minor strain I think.

It was great to be working with Tony again!

Om my word - this is a bananas work out!!! Needless to say a didn't smash it by any stretch of the imagination but I gave it a good go. I had to take lots of breaks but I'm pleased with what I did and surprised myself with some of the stuff I managed ;)

I'm really pleased I chased with some nice stretching in Relief too - need it after all that crazy jumping.

Insanity The Asylum Back to Core

I did Insanity The Asylum Back to Core today.

 The time flew by - I looked up thinking about 15-20 mins to go and found only 2 mins left = the quickest workout I think I've ever done.

This one is amazing for the back def. gonna be a regular for me to get my back good and strong! Thank you Shaun T!

The jumping jacks get tiring / calf cramping real quick but I really enjoyed it!

Rest days, tweaked back, physio and CH Ex Burn Intervals

So I took a couple of rest days wed and thurs and thursday night my back was not happy so I rang for a physio appointment.
Went on Sat am and got treatment for too upset joints in my back that I tweaked trying to pull start the petrol mower on Sunday.
Rested Sat and Sunday = 4 very long days but I'm sure my body needed it.

Ch Ex Burn Intervals

So back at it today with Ch Ex Burn Intervals. I was cautious with my back but I wanted to see if I could do it better especially the tricep section fully rested.......but well nope still can't do it ;( :( and it was really hard work tonight too. I even got light headed near the end which was very odd and a little scary!

I dropped to a knee and took some deep breaths, carried on and same again so I repeated then finished and stretched out. Was fine afterwards so not sure what caused it? Maybe not eating enough earlier in the day, maybe not fully recovered from treatment, maybe just that time of the month or combo of all of the above but a good nights sleep and I'll be fine for tomorrow I'm sure.

Lets see what shape Shaun T can get me in with the Asylum shall we?

Been looking into Freeletics and so I signed up to check it out - Did my fit test today after CH Ex warm up...

Push ups -more strict than I'm used to - chest to floor and release hands = 10 I think
Squats - hip below knee - is lower than I'm used to as I get butt wink = 45 from memory
Situps - full range touch above head and feet, keeping feet on floor = 56 I think

I tried to stick to form as it says see why it tells me.

CH Ex was tough again with numerous sets of Delt raises and rows but I didn't go crazy heavy but my shoulders were screaming by the end!

Found it hard to concentrate on slow delta raises while doing a single leg band hamstring Curls :/

Rockin' Body - Mark, Move & Groove and Party Express

It's rest day for Chalene Extreme calendar but I wanted to do something but not too much. I've had Rockin Body for a while as I bought it when it was on sale and I thought why not give it a go?

So I did Mark, Move & Groove and it was only 15 mins but great fun. So much fun that I thought I could some more so I did Party Express as well!

Loved it, much better than I expected and it was so much fun. I probably looked like a plonker doing it but no one was watching so I had fun. It was a great way to burn a few calories without going all out like other Shaun T stuff I've done. Think I might add more of these in in future ;)

Anyone else done it?? Good results?? Like it? Don't like it???

OMG - is all I can say to it - it was brutal!!! Who knew Chalene could make you work so hard!!!

After the 8-12 reps of Burn and Push meaning max of 30 reps if you do one the same muscle group twice...this first lean circuit has over 60 bicep curls in it (All straight not even hammers for variety!)...no wonder everyone says how sore they are!!!

I'm so not looking forward to the doms tomorrow ;(

This was really tough tonight, I couldn't believe how hard it was - I was pretty tired from working on the garden over the weekend which I'm guessing didn't help but wow, my biceps were screaming!!!!

Wow that is workout and a half PHEW!!!!!

I only used 2 x 5lb and I'll up that next time but everything else did me in ;( Loads of push ups and the plank stuff Oh My Word!!!!

Do the first round of the circuit and think ok this doable and then the second round you do the same with some extra stuff and then would you believe the 3rd round he piles even more on top. Shaun T knows his stuff and he knows how to work you!!!!

But I loved it and can't wait to do it again lol

Never done hip flys but did them all so pleased with that but might know to all tomorrow. It months since I've done any pull ups (assisted of course) but it felt good to get back to them.

Got to take the pup to the vets in the morning for boosters and check up and thankfully its early first thing before my doms will kick in otherwise not sure I could pick him up!

I couldn't face week 4 of Ch Ex Push Circuit and needed a change so I chose Speed and Agility and OMG!!!!

It was really great fun, pretty tough and my room is a little small for the ladder but I made it work the best I could.

This just get my shoulders/upper body strong pretty quickly with all that plank work!

I see lots more Asylum in my future ;)

Ch Extreme Push Circuit 3

Ch Extreme Push Circuit 3

Upped all but one of my weights tonight, pleased with my bench press as I managed 30lb for 8 and only only just managed the 3 extremes!
My forearms and hands were really achy so I had to go lighter on the squats because I just couldn't hold the planned 40lb'ers :( All the heavies today phew!
Just 1 more week of push to go then it's on to lean.
