Welcome to my fitness log

I've created this to keep everything to do with my fitness journey in one place for easy reference.
I've listed links to places I visit regularly or places I think are interesting or valuable resources.

I started doing Crossfit September 22nd 2009 and I loved it - it's totally awesome and it made me a better person in so many different ways!

After nearly 4 years of Crossfit and wrist injury I tried a home fitness DVD for a change and something new - Rip 60 was really great and then I found Beachbody / Tony Horton's P90X!
It's THE best home fitness program ever!!!
It changed my body in so many amazing ways and got my cardio fitness, my core and overall strength including push up strength better than ever before!!

I now do many Beachbody programs as they are all so great.
I 'm a big Tony Horton fan because he makes me work hard but makes me laugh at the same time.
After I completed P90X, I did P90X3, P90X2 and some P90X+. I''ve tried other Beachbody programs including the P90, Piyo, Focus T25,
21 Day Fix Extreme, Country Heat, BodyBeast and Insanity, The Aslyum 1 and 2. Completed 21 Day Fix and 22 Min hard Core.

Did some Insanity Max 30 and Core de Force but my knees can't handle jumping every day so I have to mix them in.
Shift shop is great and looking forward to the new 80 Day obsession.

I'm the fittest I've ever been in my life and still getting stronger every day!

T25 Beta Core Cardio

So it should have been P90 Saturday special to day but my dvd drive wouldn't read the disc grrr, so I tried another new dvd player, nope wouldn't see it either, cleaned tried and tried again = so frustrating!

I tried my mac pro and it only ate the disc and wouldn't give it back !!!!

Time was cracking on so I gave up on it and tried Sweat C instead.
It was ok but the MMA moves are really lame by comparison to MMX or even Kenpo X. They didn't flow and it just annoyed me. The mountain climber got my heart rate up a little but that was about it.
I've obviously recovered well this week taking it easy and I needed more. At around 14 mins in (about 2 moves before half time for 30 sec beak before doing it all again) I pressed eject!!! Never done that on a TH disc before but it just wasn't giving me what I needed!

So I decided to try T25 Beta Core Cardio (I vaguely remember the sat special being cardio but very core orientated with squat twists and the like so it seemed a good sub and realy needed to push myself  )

It was brill, I loved it. It was pretty tough, mainly for me as usual the plank work - new moves to me plank and tap leg out, then tap hand out - I always feel it in my shoulders  I really struggled and just more confirmation that I need to work on this weakness.
But I pushed as much as I could and sweated buckets and felt great afterwards

I really didn't think I would like Shaun T but his workouts give me something that no other ever has!!! I know I would struggle 5 days a week but a week without them and I'm craving the high

I've def. made my mind up that P90 are, for me, nice recovery workouts. A mix of B,C & Speed Sculpt and Sweat will give me a nice recovery week when ever I feel the need. I always struggle with recovery weeks but these will still allow me to keep my body moving but at a much less intensity which is perfect for a light/recovery week!

So I've decided to go back to my roots with P90X weight days Mon, Wed, Fri and do T25 and PIyo Tues, Thurs & Sat.  May try a little Turbo Fire in there too.
