I started doing Crossfit September 22nd 2009 and I loved it - it's totally awesome and it made me a better person in so many different ways!

After nearly 4 years of Crossfit and wrist injury I tried a home fitness DVD for a change and something new - Rip 60 was really great and then I found Beachbody / Tony Horton's P90X!
It's THE best home fitness program ever!!!
It changed my body in so many amazing ways and got my cardio fitness, my core and overall strength including push up strength better than ever before!!

I now do many Beachbody programs as they are all so great.
I 'm a big Tony Horton fan because he makes me work hard but makes me laugh at the same time.
After I completed P90X, I did P90X3, P90X2 and some P90X+. I''ve tried other Beachbody programs including the P90, Piyo, Focus T25,
21 Day Fix Extreme, Country Heat, BodyBeast and Insanity, The Aslyum 1 and 2. Completed 21 Day Fix and 22 Min hard Core.

Did some Insanity Max 30 and Core de Force but my knees can't handle jumping every day so I have to mix them in.
Shift shop is great and looking forward to the new 80 Day obsession.

I'm the fittest I've ever been in my life and still getting stronger every day!

Wasn't feeling it at all today - energy really low so thank goodness it was Yoga on the schedule today.

P90X Chest, Shoulders & Tri's

Made some more progress on this one tonight but I have to be honest it doesn't really do masses for the shoulders - I'm sure there are better shoulder workouts - I might try his Diamond delts from 1 on 1 - anybody tried it? Have any other suggestions for great shoulders workouts please??

P90X2 Plyocide and 22MHC Core 1

Was late getting started tonight but took 2 Phd Body Sculpt pre workout capsules before I got going and I think it really helped - the caffeine really perked me up and helped me focus and the muscle fatigue seemed a lot less so I went for it ;)

Not done Plyocide since 2nd June 15 and it wasn't one of my favourites but tonight I really enjoyed it and got a great burn too!!
I didn't do the foam rolling or the stretching at the end to save on time and instead I went straight into Core 1 - got every rep and pleased with my form too ;)

Hope everyone is pushing hard???

P90X Week 5 Back and Biceps

Ate a bit more than normal today because I was so hungry but I guess my muscles need it!

Pleased with my progress tonight, increased some of my weights and some my reps in about 50% of the sets ;)

This one really pumps up your biceps and also makes my forearms sing!

Body Beast Bulk Back and 22MHC Special Ops Core

Was short on time tonight after an unexpected meeting so was slightly rushed but got it done.

Pleased with deadlifts tonight as upped the 8 reps set to 48kg / 106lb, the rest I kept the same but should have increased the plank rotation (got the wrong weights in my rush).

Special Ops Core was fun but tough as usual lol I did my best and forgot the rest :)

P90X3 Triometrics & P90X2 Ab Ripper

Wow Triometrics - I really forgot what great little workout this is! I thought after doing Interval X+ a few times I would find this fairy easy but how wrong I was.

I was doing great till the last move Kalam and I was done, the screaming from my legs made me stop - I couldn't complete it well at all. I took a few breath and kept going best I could but man my legs were fried!!!!

Interval X+ is a great cardio workout but Triometrics is a leg burner and hits so many different parts of the leg too while working on your balance too - all in 30 mins!!!!!

Anyone who hasn't tried this one they should!!

I chased it with Ab ripper and boy that woke those abs up too phew!!!

Weight Stats

Weighed and measured this morning and I'm down to 10st 3lb / 143lb = the lightest I've ever been!!

Navy Seals app says body fat % finally in Athlete levels under 21% at 20.22% with waist at 69.9 cm / 27.5cm = the smallest my waist has ever been and I mean ever since a child!!

Best shape of my life at nearly 38 - thanks to Beachbody programs, hard work and Facebook groups/support!! Thank you all :)

A little yoga and then to the pain cave (that what I call it) to roll and iron out the kinks with my foam roller.
Easy session to finish off recovery week so that I can get ready to hit it strong on Monday - month two of my P90X mixed hybrid!

Upped my weights tonights (2 x 3kg up to 2 x 4kgs) and tried harder on some of the moves that I struggled with on Monday and pleased with progress :)

This is still a very tough workout but in a very untraditional way lol.

Makes you work on your balance that for sure! Nice little recovery workout though.

P90X3 Incinerator

Revisited a P90X3 one tonight and wow it surprised me. Got the weights about right for most of them, failed on some. And my left elbow really didn't like the Hail to the chief move so I'll stick to normal lying tricep extensions in future.
The burnout was a bear!!!! I was going great thinking we'll be done soon I bet then he said - "we're about a minute in" and after that I was toast, on my knees for the push ups and everything!

But I can't believe how pumped up/big I feel - my chest, shoulders, bis and well all my upper body really - even 4 hours later??? Not really experienced it before that I can remember hmmm

P90X Recovery Week - Core Synergystics

Wow I forgot what a great little workout his one! Not much is doesn't work! Feeling great :)

Also I want to thank Dan for suggesting gaffa tape to secure my Beachbody Jump mats together - I got some Gorilla Tape from Amazon and it worked a dream. Made a real difference to my workout space. Thank you

P90X+ Kenpo Cardio Plus & Asylum Relief

Woke with DOMS today - ouchy and thats very quick for me - not sure if thats a good sign or not??

Spent most of the day refreshing my memory of lots of workouts and calendars as still tinkering with my hybrid. Deciding on recovery week workouts and then then next 3 weeks. It's so much easier when you just follow one program!!

Really enjoyed Kenpo Plus tonight, it was good fun and reasonable burn too. Chased it with some Shaun T stretching - just what I needed.

P90X Legs and Back

Increased my weights on Calf raise squats and step back lunges. Even added a little weight to the deadlift squats! Another new Personal best for me is 5 unassisted chin ups wahoo!!! Last one was only just but gotta love the progress ;)

Nice cal burn tonight too :)

P90X Shoulders and Arms

Another long work day doing 2 peoples jobs and apr from time pressures I quite enjoyed it!

Did my best to crush Shoulders and Arms tonight, was tired but gave it my all. I got a couple of personal bests too wahoo!!!

Pleased with some of the strength gains over the last 3 weeks. Small improvements here and there but they all add up.

Love it!!

Anyone checked out Sagi's new Beast Up on BOD? Looks brutal! Might have to try them soon lol

P90X+ Intervals and 22MHC Core 2

Tried some Pre workout tonight to give me an extra boost - I only took half the recommended scoops as I don't really have much caffeine and didn't know how it would react.

Did't feel much to be honest, a little more alert maybe?

But I got my workout in and loved it - Intervals+ really works me phew!!!

Chased it with Core 2 and that was tough too but I got done as much as I could but after poor eating yesterday and very restless sleep with nightmares I was toast at the end.

Better eating today so should be fine tomorrow providing I sleep well tonight, its warm again.

P90X Chest and Back - Week 3

Had a long hard day today working like a trojan but still got it done.

Felt week on some of these sets today, was toast towards the end, so decided not to be stupid and risk injury.
Some of the push ups sets I worked on good depth and quality over quantity.
Don't think my upper back was fully recovered from Bulk Back on sat which made the pull up variations harder than usual!

Onwards and upwards.

Body Beast Bulk Back

Had a pretty active day today, clearing out the coal house and then a few hours work ( I know its saturday but we have staff on holiday so more hours needed). But got home and went straight into Bulk Back and loved it. Felt great to lift properly especially deadlifts.
Slightly cautious but 15/12/8 reps and drop set of 8 with 20kg/44lb / 30kg/66lb / 46kg/101lbs then drop set back down to 30kg/66lb and the weight was right to push me but not to high for not lifting heavy in a while. It felt awesome ;)
Pretty pleased with my one arm row too @ 22.5lb / 10kg for 5 x 5 reps without dropping the weight phew!

Then did some foam rolling that I should have done a week ago lol.

MHC Hammer Power

Loved this tonight - its a while since I've done it and most of my weights I matched from last time except I didn't want to go too heavy for the Deadlift as it's a while since I've done much so I stuck with 2 x 30lb / 14kg for 10 reps and it felt pretty good.

The heavy set of Clean & Press I had planned for 2 x 9kg / 20lb but I dropped to 8kgs / 18lbs. I managed the 2 x 9kg / 20lb for the Clean & Squat though just :)
But I increased the Clean Squat Jerk to 2 x 7kg / 15lbs so pleased with that.
I love the way it ramps up and gets tougher and tougher, it shows in my heart rate too! Great workout :)


Jericho's Half and Half

I tried a new one tonight - Jericho's half and half.

To be honest I didn't really enjoy it, the warm up was up to supersonic speed before I was and it made everything feel like really hard work!
The 20 mins of cardio moves were not hard, it was easier than hard core so I'm not sure if it was not warming up or just tired body or what but it was no fun. I pushed through and the later rounds we're a little better. Few mins of Core stuff was fine and then into 20 mins of yoga. The yoga flowed differently than I'm used to and it was sort of ok.


Overall a bit disappointed but it was me rather than the workout I think?
