I started doing Crossfit September 22nd 2009 and I loved it - it's totally awesome and it made me a better person in so many different ways!

After nearly 4 years of Crossfit and wrist injury I tried a home fitness DVD for a change and something new - Rip 60 was really great and then I found Beachbody / Tony Horton's P90X!
It's THE best home fitness program ever!!!
It changed my body in so many amazing ways and got my cardio fitness, my core and overall strength including push up strength better than ever before!!

I now do many Beachbody programs as they are all so great.
I 'm a big Tony Horton fan because he makes me work hard but makes me laugh at the same time.
After I completed P90X, I did P90X3, P90X2 and some P90X+. I''ve tried other Beachbody programs including the P90, Piyo, Focus T25,
21 Day Fix Extreme, Country Heat, BodyBeast and Insanity, The Aslyum 1 and 2. Completed 21 Day Fix and 22 Min hard Core.

Did some Insanity Max 30 and Core de Force but my knees can't handle jumping every day so I have to mix them in.
Shift shop is great and looking forward to the new 80 Day obsession.

I'm the fittest I've ever been in my life and still getting stronger every day!

P90X Kenpo X and Bod Yoga Core Strength with Vytas

Kenpo X and apart from a few groans from some leg/glute muscles in the early stretches lol I really enjoyed it.

Chased it with Core Strength with Vytas, as I missed Yoga on Thursday, which was actually harder than I remembered and didn't have as many stretches as I hoped or rather needed.

P90X Legs and Back

Didn't get chance for Yoga yesterday as I had a long hard work day ;(

But today was Legs and Back and I loved it - especially because I got a great Personal Best on my unassisted Chin ups. Wahoo! I managed 3 which was great on its own but came off the bar for a few breaths and then manged another 4 - I can't quite believe it!!!

I increased my weights to 2 x 8kg / 17.5 lbs on the calf raise squats ( I might try and match Tony next week with the 20's or 9kgs for me ;) )and the step back lunges ;) Up to 2 x 4kg / 8.8lbs on the side lunges and the single leg Deadlift squats.

Increased to 2 x 5kg /11lbs on my Bench Step ups although they were alternating and 2 x 9kg / 19.9lbs for weighted lunges but that slowed me down a little as it was near the end. ;)
Calf raise squats I kept the same at 2 x 7kg /15lbs but will up that next time.

Loving get stronger - its addictive isn't it???

P90X Shoulders and Arms

Was cautious with my shoulder but pushed where I could.

I swapped out Chair dips for full dips as its puts my shoulder in a better position. Crouching Cohen Curls I did the kneeling with forward lean.

Side tri rises I skipped because my shoulder would really get upset with them and did some heavy seated Military press just for a bit more shoulder action. Upwards is ok for me and I want to get them shoulders stronger as 8 reps @ 7kg  / 15lb was my limit today.

My triceps can almost do what my shoulders can so I know my shoulders are seriously lacking!

22 Min Hard Core Triple!

My doms were much better today thank goodness and I went for the triple....22 Min Hard Core Cardio 2, 1 and then 3 and wowee what a great workout that was!!

Loved it and got a great burn too - even before my good stretch I did 702 calories in 1 hour and about 4 mins I think it was!!!

A good little challenge if anyone fancies it lol

P90X Chest and Back

OMG the DOMS in my legs, glutes and even my calves from those calf raises with 2 x 7kg/15.4lbs on Saturday. Everything is fine untill...well I move!!! 😱

It was great to go old school push and pull today though with P90X Chest and Back 😊

I made a few alterations though as my shoulder is still a little tweaky. I swapped out Military Push Ups for Narrow Grip Bench Press and Diamond Push ups for Close Grip Bench Press hoping to build up the narrow pushing strength back up gradually. Also Dive Bomber Push ups I've never liked so I did a Chest Fly instead 😉

These X workouts work me so much harder than the X2 ones, I know that's the point in a way but it just feels good when you've worked hard and your muscles know it and you know you did a good job 💪

It's cardio day tomorrow and I can't decide on another Plyo X, Plyocide or a crazy Shaun T workout but whatever I choose I know it's going to hurt till I've warmed up because of my doms 😥

P90X Legs and Back

Loved this today - great to go back to a longer, harder workout ;)

Swopped out Sneaky lunges for weighted step ups and Iso lunge for weighted lunges.

Really enjoyed it and hope I don't regret it too much over the next couple of days.

Strong but simple flow Yoga with Vytas

Nice to de-stress, stretch out, work the core and chill with Vytas - just what I needed again for Yoga day.

Just need to decide now to go with X2 Base and Back tomorrow or go old school X Legs and Back???

P90X2 Chest, Shoulders and Tri's

First time for me for this other X2 deluxe workout.

It went ok, I swopped the Chattarocker push ups for normal push ups to protect my shoulder which is still really touchy with military/narrow push up stuff much to my frustration.

Loved the Shoulder Press strip set. Pleased with push side arm balance on two balls and the X2 Circle fly is burny!! The oblique knee push ups on med balls was erm...interesting lol!

But my left elbow is complaining again, obviously not fully settled down from that silly 'bicep curls in your armpits' move from Monday's V-Sculpt, but its rest day tomorrow so that's good and should let it calm down.

It was going to X2 Plyocide but I needed a Tony giggle and a bigger burn so I went with Plyo X.

Call me crazy but I love this workout.

P90X2 V-Sculpt

This was all pulling in curls and pull up variations and most in plank so a little different.

Band moves in here too and on the second one my band snapped ;(

Weights were a bit off as they usually are the first time through a new workout so next week will be better.

22MHC Resistance 3 and P90X3 Dynamix

Rest day yesterday for me.

Resistance 3 is not one of the best ones...I remember now lol

My knee felt tweaky and pained twice in the mountain squats so I subbed it for some squats and squat press's in the last round.

Enjoyed dynamix as a nice cool down and stretch.

Hope everyone is having a great weekend, I'm off to take the dogs for a walk in the woods.

Insanity The Asylum Strength

Rest day yesterday from workouts but busy work day.

Had a stressy day today and wanted something longer and harder than 22MHC so I went with Asylum Strength and loved it.

Great total body workout!

Did it all with 7.5lb'ers. Shoulders were screaming at the end of the last set, the rest was fairly easy except the wide rows for a minute and the hip thrusts so I might know to them tomorrow.

22MHC Cardio 1

Loved this today - got every rep even with an interruption for a delivery (who kept me waiting on the doorstep because his scanner wouldn't scan grrr)

Used power stands for the burpees to allow me to keep up ;)

For anyone short on time these 22 mins ones really get it done!

22MHC Resistance 1

Short on time today and my HR monitor wouldn't work grrrr

But got Resistance 1 done and it was good fun. Long time since I've done it and it was short but great ;)

Modified push ups on bench (to get the reps and not push the shoulder) for workout and the power stands for Sprint/burpee/push up (mostly knees) burnout.

Had to rely on iWatch for HR reading / accountability today, not as accurate but better than nothing.

P90X2 SW3 D6 Base and Back

This was fun and tough today - I got more reps here and there and overall pleased with improvements but my HR and calorie burn didn't reflect it? Am I adapting to it? Am I getting fitter??

I'm thinking a little 22MHC cardio and light resistance semi recovery week then onto 3 week X2 deluxe strength phase.

P90X2 SW3 D4 Shoulders and Arms

Back to X2 for me and enjoyed it - increased weights and rep in most areas :) 

Pleased with final sets of 8 Bicep Curls at 10kg / 22lbs and my Rocket launcher Tricep Kickbacks at 8 @ 7kg / 15lbs (which matched the muscle guy in the back ;) )

Hard Labour Legs

Was cautious with weights as I wanted to be able to walk tomorrow. I didn't think it was as hard as the Body Beast Legs ones but maybe its just me.

I have to be honest I'm not enjoying these workouts so I'm going back to my old pal Tony. When I stop looking forward to my workouts its no good so sorry guys.

I love my weights but Sagi just doesn't do it for me - that camera changes him I swear. You see him on live/real with Barbie and he's a great guy but get him on set and hes a different beast lol pun intended.

Hard Labour - Chest and Back

I gave the new Hard Labour a bash today.

I didnt go crazy heavy and my left shoulder is still really not happy with Military push ups so even on my knees in the warm up it woke it up. The later set of Miltary I did standard width so not to aggravate it anymore.

Enjoyed all the back work and pull variations though.

Core de Force MMA Power

Thought a bit of cardio might be a good fill in before Hard Labour starts tomorrow so MMA Power was the chosen one.

I was struggling with a migraine about 45 mins before and even some visual disturbance came back during it but I pushed through. I had a couple of interruptions during it also grrrr but got it done.

Still a little woolly headed but hopefully a good nights sleep should see me feeling ready for Chest and Back!

P90X2 SW2 D6 Base and Back

Loved this today, got more reps in both the plyo bits and the pull ups and I got my unassisted Chin up back wahoo!!!!

I'm thinking I'll join everyone with Hard Labour next week for quick change of pace then get back to X2 as I'm really enjoying it and seeing progress = win win!!!

P90X2 SW2 D5 Strong but simple flow Yoga

Got my calandar wrong yesterday thinking it was Base and Back today- told you I had a stressful evening lol. 

I subbed in Strong but simple flow Yoga with Vytas instead of X2 Yoga, but it was shortened down by about 10 mins, as I was short on time after a very stressful and busy day. 

The stretch and time to think of nothing but doing what Vytas told me was just what I needed to calm me down.

Didn't put Polar HRM on so used iWatch...235 Total Cals, 168 Active Cals Avg HR 86 BPM in 48 mins.
