I started doing Crossfit September 22nd 2009 and I loved it - it's totally awesome and it made me a better person in so many different ways!

After nearly 4 years of Crossfit and wrist injury I tried a home fitness DVD for a change and something new - Rip 60 was really great and then I found Beachbody / Tony Horton's P90X!
It's THE best home fitness program ever!!!
It changed my body in so many amazing ways and got my cardio fitness, my core and overall strength including push up strength better than ever before!!

I now do many Beachbody programs as they are all so great.
I 'm a big Tony Horton fan because he makes me work hard but makes me laugh at the same time.
After I completed P90X, I did P90X3, P90X2 and some P90X+. I''ve tried other Beachbody programs including the P90, Piyo, Focus T25,
21 Day Fix Extreme, Country Heat, BodyBeast and Insanity, The Aslyum 1 and 2. Completed 21 Day Fix and 22 Min hard Core.

Did some Insanity Max 30 and Core de Force but my knees can't handle jumping every day so I have to mix them in.
Shift shop is great and looking forward to the new 80 Day obsession.

I'm the fittest I've ever been in my life and still getting stronger every day!

21 Day Fix Total Body Cardio fix - Day 1

My 21 Day fix came today Wahooo!!! 

Lots of reading and planning - I'm eating way too many nuts!!!!  Might have to go somewhere between the deficit plan and the maintenance plan.

I couldn't resist so I got the first workout Total Body Cardio fix done already lol. Loved it!!! It was tougher than I expected so thats pretty awesome too!!!

Did it with 2 x 5lb DB's and it was enough - I couldn't get enough oxygen to keep going all the time ;( so looking forward to bettering that. When I can get all the way through I'll up the weight.

P90X3 Yoga

P90X3 Yoga

So I got a bit of yoga done at last. Didn't go crazy and was quite cautious of my back, didn't do wrap around and didn't put my hands up in chair, skipped crane but did the rest pretty well I thought.

I felt my back only once or twice so overall pleased. Will rest again tomorrow and then try the insanity fit test on sat maybe depending how I feel.

Pondering whether to do a bit of piyo and some weights and maybe wait for 21 day fix extreme rather than the asylum??? decision decisions



Tweaked my Back

So I some how tweaked my back and have sen lots of pain since Friday 23rd Jan 15. I think I pushed a little too hard during CVX on thursday and made the muscles tired and friday night moved a little oddly and it went into spasm ;(

So its been a long week of resting as much as poss and no workouts. I'm getting somewhere near normal now so maybe try a little yoga tonight just move myself about a little.

P90X3 CVX + TurboFire Stretch 10

Last night I needed to rest and all I did was 10 mins foam rolling which was extremely painful. But I felt much better for it.

Really enjoyed this tonight - did it all with 2kg DB so chuffed with that. I worked hard and got a good burn too.

Chased it with TurboFire Stretch 10 just a little bit more. Good stuff.

I'm aware of my lower back a little tonight though not quite sure why - I think if anything the 2kg is a little heavy for the chair/crescent moves??? I didn't hold it up much for chair but did most of it in the burnout round - see how it goes.

Recovery week coming up as I think I need it.

T25 Lower Focus + Insanity The Asylum Relief

This was good tonight and tough as usual ;)

I had to come out of the slow squats for some reason as they were burning!!

But I'm pleased I managed all the way through the lunges/lunge pulse/lunge hold section on the left side (first time ever I think) and had to take a couple of knee downs on the right.

Followed it with Relief which I needed - a bit more of a stretch was definitely needed and appreciated. On of the stretches I struggled with as my quads were shaking so I modified it but still got a nice stretch.

I have to say I feel pretty tired tonight and not really sure why - early night for me I think.

P90X3 The Challenge

Decreased my resistance by another inch on my Chin up max assist band trying to get stronger at them. Only managed 5-6 reps each set but I have to get stronger somehow right?

Push ups still aiming for 8 reps each set and I managed them all on my feet except a couple of failures in the very tough military push ups (did last 2 on knees as I was toast). So over all pleased with progress. Over 70 full push ups in one session has to be the most I've ever done before :)

Relax and P90X3 Yoga

I rested yesterday as the longer working hours and the stress is catching up with me so I listened to my body and just relaxed watching LOST! 

P90X3 Yoga for me today...nice stretch and chilled again now.

P90X3 CVX

P90X3 CVX

I forgot what this was like and it was good fun. I was pretty tired and legs were already DOM'd up from Lower focus yesterday so I couldn't go all out but I did what I could and It was good fun.

I used 1kg for the 1st round and 2.5kg for the 2nd round up until hop overs, then just stuck with the 1kg and need to use my arms tomorrow!

The deep lunge pulses and lunge holds get me every time - had to a take a couple of second breaks to get through it :(

Tough one but I enjoyed it - gotta love leg day!!!

P90X3 The Challenge

Really enjoyed The Challenge tonight.

Reduced chin up max assist by an inch and was pleased with 6 for every set of pull up variations and 8 reps on chin ups.
Push ups I did 8 every set and only 3 knees on 2nd military set and 2 knees on the last 2 sets of staggered push ups, so pleased with progress.
Equals my best from Aug 14 but I think my ROM was better today.

P90X3 Yoga

Nice little bit of X3 yoga today and it went really well.

Didn't bother to try to hard for Crane/Crow as it can bother my pisiform bone in my wrist but everything else was great.

Made a nice change to do some yoga and was pretty relaxing too which I needed ;)

T25 Speed 1.0

Another stressful day but managed to get T25 Speed 1.0 done. Although because I had to take my mum to the docs again, the timings of the day went awry and I did my workout just over half an hour after a snack of apple and peanut butter (which is very unusually for me) and it was a big mistake! As soon as I started jumping around I got a bit of a stitch pain grrrr followed my some uncomfortable gurgling a couple of times!
The last 10 mins were slightly better but I modified where I had to to get through it but it meant I didn't give it my all which was a shame ;(
But something is better than nothing right? and I learnt a valuable lesson = 30 mins after eating even a small snack is no good for cardio workouts!!

P90X3 Total Synergistics

Been a really tough week for me but finally got something done....P90X3 Total Synergistics!!. 

As I'm there for my mum at the moment I think just 30 min workouts is best for a while till she gets stronger. 
Really enjoyed it and felt good to move myself around after lots of driving, waiting and sitting on hospital beds!

So I'm thinking P90X3/T25 hybrid with some piyo in yoga days maybe?
