I started doing Crossfit September 22nd 2009 and I loved it - it's totally awesome and it made me a better person in so many different ways!

After nearly 4 years of Crossfit and wrist injury I tried a home fitness DVD for a change and something new - Rip 60 was really great and then I found Beachbody / Tony Horton's P90X!
It's THE best home fitness program ever!!!
It changed my body in so many amazing ways and got my cardio fitness, my core and overall strength including push up strength better than ever before!!

I now do many Beachbody programs as they are all so great.
I 'm a big Tony Horton fan because he makes me work hard but makes me laugh at the same time.
After I completed P90X, I did P90X3, P90X2 and some P90X+. I''ve tried other Beachbody programs including the P90, Piyo, Focus T25,
21 Day Fix Extreme, Country Heat, BodyBeast and Insanity, The Aslyum 1 and 2. Completed 21 Day Fix and 22 Min hard Core.

Did some Insanity Max 30 and Core de Force but my knees can't handle jumping every day so I have to mix them in.
Shift shop is great and looking forward to the new 80 Day obsession.

I'm the fittest I've ever been in my life and still getting stronger every day!

X Chest, Shoulders and Triceps

Wow its been a while since I did this one...11 months to be exact  

It works you good, I forgot what a great workout this is. Same moves cleverly disguised as others to keep the variety lol I was shaky and done by the end that's for sure.

It still amazes me how much strength I've lost in the last month but hey keep plugging away it should come come back pretty quick .... fingers crossed.

I'm missing my foam roller so tomorrow will be a much needed session and I've decided from now on to schedule an X2 Recovery and Mobility day in every week after T25

Short on time tonight so slight rearrange meant I could get in a quick X3 yoga.

It felt good and I actually feel like Shaun T has increased my hip flexor flexibility as 'Down dog then lift one leg in the air as high as you can' definitely felt like it went much higher  Who'd have thought it!!!

T25 Double - Lower focus and Cardio

My first T25 Double was tough Phew!!!
That lower focus is a quad burner - those the deep lunge pulses are ouchy!!! It definitely focuses on the lower body 

And then straight into Cardio which I have done once before but after Lower Focus it was pretty tough. Thank goodness for Tanya as to keep going I had to follow her lead a little.

I got throughout it, I enjoyed it and I'm looking forward to being able to keep up with the team!

Enjoyed this tonight, still haven't got my chin up back especially with a little doms in the abs from T25 the other day  but over all enjoyed it. Really worked my bi's that's for sure  

The strip set at the end really pumps them up  

My first double day for T25 tomorrow and I'm a little scared

T25 Ab intervals

That's a core workout not just abs - phew! I made it through but only just  

Some of the moves I've done very similar versions with Tony before but it's non stop with cardio recovery bits in-between core work woweeee!

Apart from the pain and agony it was actually pretty good and I enjoyed it. Looking forward to getting better at this one as to see the improvement will mean great things for my core

Triometrics was fun tonight, it's a while since I've done it and I rather enjoyed it.

I can now see why Shaun T fans find Tony's cardio stuff a little lame by comparison, I've not even done the full first week yet of T25 and even I was going come Tony stop gassing and move on lol Who'd have thought it  

Nice little bit of yoga and stretching was good straight after, although I did have to keep wiping the sweat so that I could see

Pull ups of all kinds felt hard again today but everything else felt good. I feel I've lost a little strength over the last 3 weeks so back on it this week with the longer X & X2 Strength workouts to gain it back. My mum is doing better so should be able to get them done more regular again.

Phew  Really enjoyed this tonight but my legs felt pretty shaky quite quickly  and when I struggled to walk down the stairs afterwards I know I'm gonna have to embrace to DOMS to come   

Those Albanian Squats are always tough - I only used 2 x 7.5lbs but after doing all the previous squats with 2 x 6kgs and the sumo with 1 x 12kg kb I knew to them for sure!

Really struggled on TT plus tonight, the Side kicks had already fried my flutes and so I struggled to maintain the side plank and raise my leg in the air  

Overall gave my lower body a really good pounding tonight so it's upper body tomorrow lol

Wowser what a workout!!!!

I think the fact that I have only managed 5 workouts in the last 11 days didn't help but this one kicked by booty tonight  

I'm liking these workouts though, different to what I expected but good and very different to Tony H's stuff. It's great to go all out for 25 mins and its quite a different demand on the body and that can only be a good thing

I enjoyed this, I burnt a few calories without working crazy hard and I enjoyed the stretch too.

I'm hopefully going to get T25 Total Body done tonight - I think it's gonna be hard

Got it done tonight but it was tough going. Some weights I should have lowered.

I also lost my chin up  I guess that's what happens when you don't do any for a week  I did a couple with a jump then went assisted.

Hopefully it won't take long to get it back.

My mum is slowly getting better and has more movement in her right arm now so slowly slowly things are getting better. I'm hoping to get more workouts in this coming week.

T25 Speed 1.0

Well my mum took a tumble on Sunday when clearing out the pond and 3 hours down A&E later she hasn't broken anything but she has damaged both wrists!  So I'm back in full carer mode as she can't brush her hair, make a cup of tea or anything so it will be a tough few weeks but I'm hoping for a speedy recovery.

After some sleepless nights but better night sleep last night I finally got something done. I still had DOMS from saturday because of the lack of sleep and stress I'm guessing so didn't want anything too heavy so I managed to squeeze in half hour for T25 Speed 1.0.

Enjoyed it, especially the breaks to stretch  Had to get my head around the sequences but it was somehow just what I needed. It's great to have some short workouts to squeeze in at the moment.

Workouts maybe hit and miss depending how things are but as she improves I will try and get back on it! But I need to do them to keep my sanity I think!

Wow this was hard work tonight! I went with the weights from last time I did it in march and boy it was tough. I forgot what the slow 3 count does to you  

I managed 2 unassisted chin ups and did everything else assisted - even added a bit more assist as I was hardly managing any at all about half way through - I was toast by the end  

Then I went straight into X3 Ab ripper and I have to say that was a mistake - my shoulders were toast and there is so much shoulder work in this one that it was really really hard. Even the first move which I normally can do no problem at all I was shaking just holding my arms out  I pushed through I did what I could. Also some of the moves I did yesterday in T25 stretch so that made it harder also  

So note to self - do not try X3 ab ripper after T25 stretch or Eccentric Upper!!

PS I'm late posting this as I did this last night and today I have doms already and feel pretty trashed OMG!!! Thank god its rest day!

T25 Stretch

T25 Stretch

My left calf is still smarting from my Alpha Cardio the other day so just went for a stretch today - couldn't face an hour with Tony so tried out Shaun's one as it's only 25 mins and it wasn't bad. Holding those lunges still makes the quads burn a little so not just a relaxing stretch I was hoping for but pretty good.

X3 Eccentric Upper tomorrow - hope I can still do my chin ups lol

So I did my first Focus T25 workout and loved it 
It was really good and I did better than I thought although couldn't keep up all the way through as my calves cramped a little but stayed with Tanya and kept going!

Chased it with little yoga and stretch perfect!!

P90X+ Total Body + I achieved my first ever unassisted chin up Wahoo!!!!!

I just have share I've finally did it - my first chin up - unassisted - ever!!!!! 
Wahoo!!! Yahoo!!! Yippeeee!!!!!!

         

I then did another yeah!!!! I tried for it at the start of P90X+ Total Body after his warm up and wahoo I did it! I did the rest of the workout and it in total I managed 5 unassisted chin ups!! I've only been trying for 5 years and as you can tell I'm over the moon!!!!

The Total Body workout is the first time I've done it and it moves pretty quick with some interesting newish stuff in there - apart from a few rewinds to see what the moves were I really enjoyed it - especially every time I did another chin up       

This is a delayed post from Sat - I thought I had posted it everywhere but realised this morning after celebrating my 36th Birthday that I hadn't - sorry guys I must have missed it in the excitement!!! (I also got Focus T25 for my birthday, so I'll be throwing some of them into the mix too  )
