Welcome to my fitness log

I've created this to keep everything to do with my fitness journey in one place for easy reference.
I've listed links to places I visit regularly or places I think are interesting or valuable resources.

I started doing Crossfit September 22nd 2009 and I loved it - it's totally awesome and it made me a better person in so many different ways!

After nearly 4 years of Crossfit and wrist injury I tried a home fitness DVD for a change and something new - Rip 60 was really great and then I found Beachbody / Tony Horton's P90X!
It's THE best home fitness program ever!!!
It changed my body in so many amazing ways and got my cardio fitness, my core and overall strength including push up strength better than ever before!!

I now do many Beachbody programs as they are all so great.
I 'm a big Tony Horton fan because he makes me work hard but makes me laugh at the same time.
After I completed P90X, I did P90X3, P90X2 and some P90X+. I''ve tried other Beachbody programs including the P90, Piyo, Focus T25,
21 Day Fix Extreme, Country Heat, BodyBeast and Insanity, The Aslyum 1 and 2. Completed 21 Day Fix and 22 Min hard Core.

Did some Insanity Max 30 and Core de Force but my knees can't handle jumping every day so I have to mix them in.
Shift shop is great and looking forward to the new 80 Day obsession.

I'm the fittest I've ever been in my life and still getting stronger every day!

Bodybalance 79

Was sort on time so did the 45 mins Flexibility version and it was great. Just what I needed.

It was a familiar tai chi warm up as I have been doing that on some morning just to wake up so that was nice start. Didnt do many push ups in the yoga section and overall loved it.

BodyAttack 96

Nope really dont like Bodyattack at all - just not for me. Its very go go go and no breathers or respite for the feet and my chest felt very bouncy and thrown about today - stopped around 30 mins :(

The group floor stuff is not helpful for those at home either.

Bodycombat 64

Bodycombat 64 was great - tough and fast but enjoyable.

Erin isnt the best combat trainer as her cues are slow for me.

BodyPump 108

Decided to give Les Mills ago for a change of pace.

Started with Bodypump 108 with dumbells

Warm up - 2kg
Squats - 3kg and only just
Chest - 3kg
Back - 3kg but should have used 4kg - single arm went 5kg
Triceps - 1 x 3gk

Rnd 2 6 W Wk 2 Cardio & Core

Good stuff, enjoyed it! Core is always tough at the end of this one.

Rnd 2 6 W Wk 2 Strength and Power

Great workout - love this one with the curl, single left deadlift with knee drive and great shoulder burners OMG!!

Don't forget the cardio burner wth the squat jumps to knee tuck wowser!!!

Push lat raise is especially tough. I did a mixture of knee narrow push up and no push up on knees and no push ups on feet as the shoulder and core work are the priority I think.

All the core work - Side plank taps I did on one knee. Took a break in the 1st set but just about powered through in 2 and 3 :) So need to get some on feet next time around.

Rnd 2 6W W2 Total Body Push Pull

Love this one, tough pacing in the last 2 sets as he doesn't give you time to catch your breath but still enjoyed it.

Especially the burn out at the end as last I did 4 rnds but only 4 push ups on feet and the rest on knees (on Power stands) and today I did 4 rounds again just, but all push ups on feet wahoo!!! Really pleased with progress.

Catch up, Yoga and BodyCombat 67

I haven't posted in ages, things have been a little crazy with moving house and all that goes with that.

But I did a few weeks of Morning Meltdown 100 and then moved onto 6 Weeks of the Work and that was amazing!!

Loved it, tough but brilliant. The variety is something else!!!

I decided to change my diet up by going my plany based and ct out all the energy drinks, pre and post workout powders.

I started straight into round 2 of The Work but then took bad with IBS/stomach bug so been out of it for a week. But I got back to it with Yoga 21D Day 4 Flow on Wedensday and yesterday I had to go back to old fav.

Bodycombat 67 - after renewing my les mills subscription.

Loved it, my top end HR was not as good as usual but no preworkout to open things up I guess it was too be expected.
I cut the workout short by about 6 minutes, missing the last section but then did or attempted the core section. I had to listed to my body as I'm only just recovered from literally doing very little for week recovery from a weird bug and sloshy tummy.

The dip in the middle was me pausing to check an important email.

But I'm back it now, trying to lean down some of the fluff I put on over the months of moving, no workouts and too much comfort eating.
