Welcome to my fitness log

I've created this to keep everything to do with my fitness journey in one place for easy reference.
I've listed links to places I visit regularly or places I think are interesting or valuable resources.

I started doing Crossfit September 22nd 2009 and I loved it - it's totally awesome and it made me a better person in so many different ways!

After nearly 4 years of Crossfit and wrist injury I tried a home fitness DVD for a change and something new - Rip 60 was really great and then I found Beachbody / Tony Horton's P90X!
It's THE best home fitness program ever!!!
It changed my body in so many amazing ways and got my cardio fitness, my core and overall strength including push up strength better than ever before!!

I now do many Beachbody programs as they are all so great.
I 'm a big Tony Horton fan because he makes me work hard but makes me laugh at the same time.
After I completed P90X, I did P90X3, P90X2 and some P90X+. I''ve tried other Beachbody programs including the P90, Piyo, Focus T25,
21 Day Fix Extreme, Country Heat, BodyBeast and Insanity, The Aslyum 1 and 2. Completed 21 Day Fix and 22 Min hard Core.

Did some Insanity Max 30 and Core de Force but my knees can't handle jumping every day so I have to mix them in.
Shift shop is great and looking forward to the new 80 Day obsession.

I'm the fittest I've ever been in my life and still getting stronger every day!

B4Lift4 Chest and Back & ShiftShop Speed 25, Joels Grab Bag

Monday was B4Lift4 Chest and Back and I skipped core and went into Shift Shop Speed 25 - which was tougher than I remember lol

Today I did Joels Grab Bag with Dumbells and it was pretty good. Didn't think I would enjoy it but I did.

B4Lift4 Legs, CHest and Back and Shoulders & Arms

Thursday was B4Lift4 Legs which I enjoyed after increasing my weights.

Friday should have been Lift4 preview but could I find it on BOD?? Nope?? So I did B4Lift4 Shoulders and Arms, then skipped the core section and went straight into Chest and Back which worked really well. Increased my weights on this also and that burnout of push ups really did the job this week phew!! Still got Chest doms today lol.

Joels 8 x 8 and P90X+ Intervals plus

Monday was Joels 8 x 8 which I enjoyed as I increased most of my weights from last time and I love to Deadlift. Also added my own superset just to finish the total body off with Tricep kickbacks and lat raise.

Tuesday should have been B4Lift4 HIIT but I wanted a bit more so I went with P90X+ Intervals - needed me some Tony time :)

Rested yesterday and today is B4Lift 4 Legs and I need to go much heavier than last week to make it work :)

B4Lift4 Full Body HIIT & P90X3 MMX

So Friday we finally got our drive extention finished - at last. Hard work but well worth it. We were originally quoted £900 to have it done and we pretty much did it ourselves for probably a quarter of that cost :)

New BB Energize and Recover Perfamance Line came on Friday with Lift4 Kit :)

I also bought a new 6ft x 4ft workout mat as my old BB ones are starting to breakdown after nearly 5 years of failry constant use - isn't so bad I guess.

Saturday after taking my Energize (which is very lemony but not bad) I did B4Lift4 Full Body HIIT while trying out the new mat which but it was just too slippery :(. I didn't feel safe on it at all.
When we got to the core section I stopped, got rid of the new mat and reorganized my old ones and needed something more so went to old pal Tony with some P90X3 MMX.

Took Recover which wasn't too bad either - it was less calories at than I usually have in my PWO but overall it was ok. We will see how it goes. I've been taking the same Pre and Post shakes for a long time so I figured a change is as good as a rest right?

B4Lift4 Shoulders & Arms, P90X3 Yoga & Chest and Back

Tuesday was another 5 hours of Sand/Cement mixing and Concrete laying to finish the concrete part of the drive. Leaving the Mortar bits to finish in a couple of days.

Wednesday was B4Lift4 Shoulders and Arms which was pretty good and I enjoyed it. 20 Mins is pretty short but they are effective and I’m really looking forward to the longer ones in the full program.
Chased it with P90X3 Yoga as I needed a good stretch out and it seems weeks since I’ve done any yoga - it was always the casualty of the busy weeks I’ve had lately. Boy it was tougher than normal - we sure lose the finesse of these workouts when you dont do them often don’t we?

Today was going to be finishing the drive but we got busy at work so had to go in and get some orders out so I managed to get B4Lift4 Chest and Back done. It was good too. Nice to not have a HIIT component for a change and just concentrating on the lifting :) Didn’t go crazy with the weights but was nice to be lifting similar to some of the beastettes on screen in some moves ;)

Lift and HIIT, Lift4 Preview & P90X Plyo

Monday I was so looking forward to Lift4 preview but it wasn't out yet so I did Joel Lift & HIIT and it was pretty good and I added on my own final set of Push Press/Deadlift + High Knees.

Tuesday I spent a few hours digging up turf ready for a driveway extention.

Wednesday I did Lift4 Preview and I have to say it was pretty good. Really looking forward to the program, especially if he splits up the muscle groups well - it should be great. I wouldn't normally have entertained a 4 day a week program but things are so crazy busy for me right now that I think it might be excellent for me. I can also add in some much needed yoga on the off days if I feel the need too.

Thursday I spent to very hard 2 hours shifting a ton of hardcore onto the driveway extention. That was a workout for sure. Even took my preworkout and put HR monitor on to see lol.

Yesterday as my upper body was toast from shoveling, raking and more shoveling and raking I did P90X Plyometrics. Loved iit as always.

Today I spent 5 hours mixing concrete in a wheelbarrow (yes we should have got a mixer) and laying it down in moulds to...you guessed it..do the drive way. I don't think much of me doesn't ache tonight OMG I'm totally toast!!! And there is still more to do!!!!

Great job to everyone who's still smashing it...I'm crazy busy but still checking in when I get chance x

Joels 8 x 8, BodyCombat 67 and BodyPump 103

3 day check in as I just cant find the time to get onto facebook at the minute.

Wednesday was Joels 8 X 8 with heavier weights than last time :)

Thursday Yesterday was BodyCombat 67 and loved it - best workout I've done in a while.

Today was BodyPump 103 - enjoyed it but some of weight selection could have been higher.

Don't think I'll get anything done tomorrow as we are on the garden for the day we have about 10 privet bushes to transplant!!!

Hope everyone has a great weekend!
