Welcome to my fitness log

I've created this to keep everything to do with my fitness journey in one place for easy reference.
I've listed links to places I visit regularly or places I think are interesting or valuable resources.

I started doing Crossfit September 22nd 2009 and I loved it - it's totally awesome and it made me a better person in so many different ways!

After nearly 4 years of Crossfit and wrist injury I tried a home fitness DVD for a change and something new - Rip 60 was really great and then I found Beachbody / Tony Horton's P90X!
It's THE best home fitness program ever!!!
It changed my body in so many amazing ways and got my cardio fitness, my core and overall strength including push up strength better than ever before!!

I now do many Beachbody programs as they are all so great.
I 'm a big Tony Horton fan because he makes me work hard but makes me laugh at the same time.
After I completed P90X, I did P90X3, P90X2 and some P90X+. I''ve tried other Beachbody programs including the P90, Piyo, Focus T25,
21 Day Fix Extreme, Country Heat, BodyBeast and Insanity, The Aslyum 1 and 2. Completed 21 Day Fix and 22 Min hard Core.

Did some Insanity Max 30 and Core de Force but my knees can't handle jumping every day so I have to mix them in.
Shift shop is great and looking forward to the new 80 Day obsession.

I'm the fittest I've ever been in my life and still getting stronger every day!

P90 Sculpt A

Easing back in gently with P90 Sculpt A.  Really enjoyed it, went lighter weight for 16 reps but boy some of those holds are still tough lol. Great to be lifting and laughing at Tony again :)

Yoga Stretch

Just a nice gentle stretch with Vytas today to get things moving again as I ease back in. It felt great to finally move about after 10 days of resting.

My back is feeling so much better, not quite 100% yet but getting there thank goodness 🙏🏻.

Physio Progress and back pain / spasm

My Back spasm subsided very slowly through the week and I went back to Physio on Tuesday. She was pleased with my movement and that the spasm was almost gone.

She went to work on some triggers in my glutes OMG!!! I'm to keep up with my stretches but can do some yoga, light cardio, lights but don't go crazy. Go back to see her if I need to, so really looking forward to get back to it.

I'm going to stick to my own plan of works for me though and not do these programs as set with others as it clearly stresses me out and does me no good at all.

So less is more for me so 2-3 days weights, 1-2 cardio/combat with some Yoga.

Re attack my goals of more unassisted chin ups and an unassisted pull ups. Generally get stronger and build more muscle with some cardio when I need it and yoga to keep flexible and balanced.

Back pain / spasm

Yesterday...My back was feeling better this morning, went to work and while putting the first box on the floor BAM 💥 pain across my back🤬. It’s been in spasm since so I’m going to have to listen to my back and rest up for a few days. Probably rest the rest of this week till my back is completely pain free and start fresh on Monday.

After waking this morning still in lots of pain, I rang to see if there were any physio appointments. Much to my surprise saw me very quickly. She was surprised how much spasm there was in my lower back. She massaged it and gave me some ultrasound and prescribed only walking for now and wants to see me next week. So I think I could be out the game longer than I’d hoped 😫

Transform 20 Day 1 Burn

Transform 20 Day 1 Burn.
Well I pulled by back yesterday lifting some furniture (no clue how/why really? just a funny angle I think) so I was undecided about starting or resting but I decided I would do it but carefully.

Got stuck in loved it, was careful in the burpee section and walked it out and back a few reps but that bothered by back more than jumping so I just got on with it!

I chased it with Shaun's 10 Min Recovery and it was pretty good. Rolling up out the stretch hurt my back more than the workout itself lol but I felt great for the stretch and really enjoyed.

Who's a little scared for Faster tomorrow??? 🤚

Is it just me or is everyone else struggling to find the oxygen or energy to do the recovery taps prior to each Transformer???? We seem to come out of a tough section for those 30 secs ready to go into a tougher section and I can only manage to step the recovery taps while I catch my breath and struggle to jump them most of the time??

My HRM would not give my graph today grrrr!

Transformer No's
Rapid Taps 1 = 130,
Twist Obliques 2 = 100 but mostly hands down as careful with back (twisting hurt),
Rocketman 3 = 1st leg 45, 2nd 32.
